Background
Fischl von Luftschloss Narfidort, or simply Fischl, is a mysterious investigator for the Adventurer’s Guild. She calls herself “Prinzessin der Verurteilung” which is translated to “Princess of Condemnation” in German. Fischl travels with a night raven named Oz, who acts as her close friend and servant. Others around Fischl believe she is eccentric with her speech mannerisms, but her hard work alone has earned her recognition from her peers in the Adventurer’s Guild.

Due to her unique way of talking, many people have a problem with understanding what Fischl is trying to say. This often impeded her duties as an investigator. There is even a “Fischl Dictionary” for people to use to understand her. It is often up to Oz to translate what Fischl is saying to others.
Growing up, Fischl would often read stories in the library when her parents were out adventuring. Her “Prinzessin der Verurteilung” persona is derived from the countless books she would read about traveling the universe. She didn’t have a lot of friends growing up, because the other kids would distance themselves due to her strange behaviors. Fischl doesn’t like that part of her past and created her new persona as ruler of Immernachtreich out of her loneliness. She now believes she is a princess that will never give up on her dreams and noble spirit because it is her rite of passage. As “Prinzessin”, she has found a close friend in Oz and has even met a new friend from another world. Two feats that her younger self couldn’t accomplish.

Fun Fact: Fischl is not her real name.
In the Unreconciled Stars event, Fischl helps out the traveler to investigate the mysterious meteorites that have fallen into Mondstadt and Liyue. These meteorites lure everyone who touches them into a deep sleep. The traveler doesn’t understand anything she is saying, and even Paimon has trouble translating her words. The duo also meets Oz who carefully explains what Fischl is saying. The two of you, along with Paimon and Oz, then travel the land collecting the meteorites and dispelling the sleeping curse from the victims. After the traveler decides to solve the mystery of the sleeping curse, Fischl decides to leave the investigation to take care of the sleeping victims, but agree to meet again someday for a drink.
Fischl wields a bow and has a vision of electro. She first appeared within the story in the Unreconciled Stars event.
Fischl Skill Talents
Fischl’s skill talent allows her to reliability deal electro damage to the enemies. She is a 4-star unit that primarily uses Oz the Raven in her skillset. She is best used as a support unit because of her ability to trigger elemental reactions, but can also serve as a secondary DPS unit. Fischl is a frail unit and can not survive in close combat without proper support from a healer. I wouldn’t recommend her as a main DPS because she is incapable of taking hits unless you have her at high constellation levels.
For her normal attack, Bolts of Downfall, Fischl shoots up to 5 consecutive arrows at the enemy. Her aimed shots will deal Electro DMG to its target, which allows Fischl to deal reliable Electro DMG without the use of her elemental skill or burst. At Ascension 1, her charged shots will be powered up with Oz’s Thundering Retribution, and deal AoE Electro DMG to the enemy.

Fischl’s main strength comes from her elemental skill Nightrider. This skill summons Oz the night raven to deal electro DMG to nearby enemies. When summoned, Oz will also deal a small AoE blast to surrounding enemies. He will only be summoned for 10 seconds, but his duration will increase with higher constellation levels. The cooldown is 25 seconds, which is fairly lengthy, but still manageable. At C1, Oz will attack alongside Fischl even when he is not on the field. Oz’s electro attack will also get a boost at Fischl’s Ascension 4.
Midnight Phantasmagoria allows Fischl to transform into Oz to increase her movement speed and deal Electro DMG to enemies she comes into contact with. Enemies can only be hit once with his skill, which limits its overall ability to deal damage. This skill also takes practice to master because Oz is hard to control and maneuver around the battlefield. Her elemental burst is perfect for escaping an enemy and keeping your distance. This skill will also summon Oz when Fischl transforms back into her regular form. At C4, this skill will deal increased damage and heal Fischl as well.

In co-op, Fischl can deal Electro DMG and trigger elemental reactions with her skills. However, the team should have a unit to heal her because Fischl has weak defenses. Her constellation 4 skill will allow her to heal a bit of her health if needed. Fischl should keep a distance from the enemies and provide support from afar.
Fischl Passive Talents

Both of Fischl’s passive talents at Ascension 1 & 4 boosts both her electro damage and support potential. At Ascension 1, Fischl’s aimed shot will deal AoE Electro DMG with the help of Oz. This damage scales with Fischl’s arrow DMG. At Ascension 4, Fischl’s elemental reaction gets a boost, with added Electro DMG on the enemy that is equal to Fischl’s ATK. Both of these skills work great with Fischl’s ability to support her team through her constant Electro DMG.
Her talent, Mein Hausgarten, reduces the time of her expeditions by 25%. This is more useful for gathering resources and doesn’t help her in combat.
Overall, Fischl’s passive talent allows her to support her team with Electro DMG and trigger Electro-charge, Overload, and Superconduct with her elemental reactions. She is decent to explore with, but doesn’t provide any buffs to the party.
Note: Fischl gets an ATK% boost that scales with her ascension levels.
Mein Hausgarten Unlocked Automatically When dispatched on an expedition in Mondstadt, time consumed is reduced by 25%. |
Stellar Predator Unlocked at Ascension 1 When Fischl hits Oz with a fully-charged Aimed Shot, Oz brings down Thundering Retribution, dealing AoE Electro DMG equal to 152.7% of the arrow’s DMG. |
Undone Be Thy Sinful Hex Unlocked at Ascension 4 If a character triggers an Electro-related Elemental Reaction when Oz is on the field, the enemy shall be stricken with Thundering Retribution, dealing Electro DMG equal to 80% of Fischl’s ATK. |
Fischl Constellations

Fischl does not need high constellation levels to be a viable support character. Her constellations mostly focus on both her elemental skill & burst. At lower constellation levels, Fischl should be used as a support unit or secondary DPS. When you reach C4, she can be used as a main DPS because of her increased damage and ability to heal herself.
At C1: Gaze of the Deep, Oz’s attack will sync up with Fischl’s, even when he is not on the field. This ability adds extra firepower to her normal attacks.
C2: Devourer of All-Sins boosts her elemental skill increasing its’ damage overall. This ability boosts Fischl’s electro DMG.
At C4: Her Pilgrimage of Bleak, Fischl recovers some of her HP when her elemental burst is used. This constellation level will also deal 222% Electro DMG to surrounding enemies. This ability is amazing as it can heal Fischl and deal damage at the same time.
C6: Evernight Raven will allow Oz to attack with any current party member, allowing easier access to elemental reactions.
Constellation Levels | Effects |
---|---|
C1: Gaze of the Deep | Even when Oz is not present in combat, he can still watch over Fischl through his raven eyes. When Fischl attacks an enemy, Oz fires a joint attack, dealing 22% of ATK DMG. |
C2: Devourer of All-Sins | When Nightrider is used, it deals an additional 200% ATK as DMG, and its AoE is increased by 50%. |
C3: Wings of Nightmare | Increases the Level of Nightrider by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15. |
C4: Her Pilgrimage of Bleak | When Midnight Phatasmagoria is used, it deals 222% of ATK as Electro DMG to surrounding enemies. When the skill duration ends, Fischl regenerates 20% of her HP. |
C5: Against the Fleeing Light | Increase the Level of Midnight Phantasmagoria by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15 |
C6: Evernight Raven | Increases the duration of Oz’s summoning by 2s. Additionally, Oz attacks with the current character when present, dealing 30% of Fischl’s ATK as Electro DMG. |
Recommended Builds
Support DPS

This build prioritizes Fischl’s ability to trigger elemental reactions with her skills. Her elemental skill & burst are great skills for dealing Electro DMG. I recommend maxing these skills out before focusing on her normal attack. For her recommended teammates, she is pretty versatile in who she can pair up with. The main point is to pair her with a party members unit that can utilize her elemental reactions. Having another electro unit like Beidou or Razor will also generate an elemental particle every 5 seconds once an electro reaction occurs.
For her recommend weapon, the Skyward Harp increases Fischl’s CRIT DMG and will have a chance to deal a small AoE blast. Its secondary effect is CRIT Rate, which will boost her overall damage output. Go for this weapon if you want a more CRIT Build for Fischl. This weapon is harder to obtain because of the low 5-star drop rates.
The Stringless is another good choice and works great with her skillset. This weapon will increase both her elemental skill & burst by 48% if you have it at maxed refinement level. I prefer The Stringless over the Skyward Harp for this build, because its ability fits in with Fischl’s electro skills. If you want to focus more on damage, go for the harp, but go for The Stringless if you want to strengthen her Electro DMG. The Skyward Harp will also have overall better stats because it is a 5-star weapon.
Other options include The Viridescent Hunt, Sacrificial Bow, and Favonius Warbow. The Viridescent Hunt requires access to the battle pass, but is a solid choice overall. It will generate a cyclone that will deal damage based on Fischl’s ATK. The Sacrificial Bow will allow Fischl to reset her elemental skill cooldown after damaging an enemy with her elemental skill. Lastly, the Favonius Warbow can be used due to its energy recharge secondary stat.
In the early game, the Recurve Bow is a good choice to use if you don’t have access to a better weapon. Defeating an enemy will restore Fischl’s health by 8%-16%, depending on the refinement level.
For her artifact set, the Thundering Fury is the best choice for Fischl. It will increase her Electro DMG by 15% and increase the damage from her reactions. This pairs nicely with Fischl’s ability to trigger elemental reactions with Oz the Raven. You can also use a 2-piece Noblesse Oblige if you plan on using her Elemental Burst often. A 4-piece Noblesse Oblige would also work if you want to give your main DPS unit an attack boost. The main stats to focus on are her ATK% and Electro DMG. This will overall increase how much damage is dealt by Fischl and Oz. You will also want to focus on energy recharge so you can use her burst more often. Elemental Mastery will also work to increase her reaction damage.

Another option you have for Fischl is a CRIT Build that relies more on damage than elemental reactions. This build is a mix between Fischl’s amazing elemental attacks and adds in physical damage to make her a mixed attack unit. Both her normal attack and elemental skill should be maxed out. Fischl will deal out physical attacks, while Oz will throw in Electro DMG. These attacks will also have a high CRIT Rate to deal even more damage.
Her recommended weapon is the Skyward Harp because of its CRIT Rate bonus and will deal increased CRIT DMG. The small AoE blast will also deal damage to surrounding enemies. This weapon is great for increasing Fischl’s overall DPS. You can also use another 5-star weapon called the Amos’ Bow. Instead of CRIT Rate, this weapon will increase Fischl’s attack for a more DPS-centered build. Any 5-star bow like the Polar Star or Thundering Pulse will work for a DPS Fischl.
The Rust is another great option because of its ability to increase Fischl’s normal attack damage. Fischl won’t be using her aimed shot as much, so the drawback of the Rust is minimized. It’s secondary stat boosting ATK will also pair nicely with Fischl’s ATK% Bonus from her ascension level.
Another option is the Alley Hunter. This weapon will increase Fischl’s attack every 4 seconds, for up to 5 stacks. This scales nicely with refinement levels and can boost her attack and CRIT DMG by 8% every 4 seconds. However, Fischl will want to avoid getting hit because the effect will reset if she takes damage.
The Compound Bow works similarly to the Rust on a smaller scale. It increases her normal attack and attack speed. This weapon can also be forged so it is easily accessible.
For her artifact set, I recommend using a mix of the Thundering Fury and Gladiator’s Finale set. This will boost both her Electro DMG and overall ATK. You can also switch the Gladiator’s Finale set for a 2-piece Bloodstained Chivalry to increase her physical attack by 25%. I prefer the Gladiator’s Finale set because it increases her ATK, which scales with some of her skills. The stats you should focus on are CRIT Rate%, ATK%, and CRIT DMG%. This will ensure you have more chances of hitting a critical hit. You can also choose to focus on Electro DMG to deal more damage with Oz. Energy Recharge is another good option if you want to use her elemental burst faster.
Recommended Party Members
Mona is an amazing support character with her Hydro DMG. Her elemental burst also increases DMG dealt to an enemy marked by her Omen.
Having two electro characters will trigger an elemental particle drop when an electro reaction occurs. This allows both their bursts to charge faster.
Having two pyro units will provide an ATK buff to the entire party. Xiangling can be also used to trigger overload.
Bennett’s elemental burst can heal Fischl and give her an attack buff.
Barbara can apply the Hydro element to enemies to trigger electro-charge. She can also heal Fischl.
Advantages | Disadvantages |
---|---|
Good potential for elemental reactions | Elemental burst is hard to control |
Reliable Electro DMG | Fragile Defenses |
Overall good support character | Not good for close range |
Recommended Domains: Cecilia Garden, Forsaken Rift, Taishan Mansion, Domain of Guyun, Stormterror, Childe, Boreas, Peak of Vindagnyr
Conclusion

Fischl is an amazing support character with her ability to summon Oz to deal Electro DMG. She is best used to trigger elemental reactions because of her weak defenses. Overall, Fischl should be kept away from the front lines to avoid her accidentally dying from an enemy hit. Her constellation levels make her a powerful force to be reckoned with as both her elemental skill and burst get a major upgrade. For now, Fischl’s role is limited to providing support and is outclassed by other electro characters like Razor in terms of DPS potential. She makes a decent DPS unit if you have no other choice, but will often die unless you have a good healer on the team. However, she is currently the only Electro archer in the game, making her a solid character for any team.
