builds for Venti
Venti the bard

Venti is a traveling bard that freely travels around the nation of Mondstadt with his lyre. He enjoys playing his songs for the people and is well-liked for his musical talents. Venti has a playful nature, but becomes serious when it comes to his other identity.

Although he might appear to be a child in his current form, Venti’s true identity is the Anemo Archon Barbatos. In the past, he was one of the original seven Archons who won the Archon Wars. One of his major accomplishments was aiding in the rebellion against the God of Storms Decarabian to free Old Mondstadt. Venti’s current form takes after a nameless bard who died in the rebellion against Decarabian.

Fun Fact: As an original Archon, Venti is a close friend of Rex Lapis.

Venti believes the nation of Mondstadt should be a land of freedom. A land where people are free to do what they pleased. He rarely meddles in the daily affairs of humans, but there have been exceptions to this rule. One of these exceptions was to aid a rebellion to overthrow the aristocracy in Mondstadt, who has become a tyrant. The people of Mondstadt do not know his true identity as the Anemo Archon, allowing Venti to freely travel without worries.

Venti is also known to be an alcoholic with a love of Dandelion Wine. Despite other people seeing him as a child, Venti has a very high alcohol tolerance.

Fun Fact: Venti is allergic to cats.

Venti the bard is a 5-star Anemo bow-user from the region of Mondstadt. He was introduced in the first part of the story where you help him free Stormterror from the Abyss Order’s control.

Venti Skill Talents

Venti is an Anemo bow user with great support abilities and crowd control. As an Anemo character, Venti will have to rely on other elements to fully utilize his swirl reaction. He can work in many teams as a support character.

Venti c0 build
Venti’s normal attack

Venti’s normal attack, Divine Marksmanship, can perform up to 6 shots with his bow. His charged shot will infuse his arrows with Anemo DMG and deal increased damage on its target. As a support character, Venti’s normal attack will often be ignored compared to his other skills. At C1, he can fire two additional shots with his charged attack. This increases the efficiency of his charged attacks, allowing Venti to deal more damage if the additional arrows hit the same target.

venti c1 build
Venti’s elemental skill

His elemental skill, Skyward Sonnet, has two main functions. By pressing on his skill, Venti can summon a small breeze to deal Anemo DMG and launch enemies into the air. Holding his skill will unleash a strong wind current and float Venti into the sky. This wind current is capable of allowing characters to glide up into the air while it is in effect. Venti’s hold skill comes from his passive talent at ascension 1. The wind current will last for 20 seconds.

Venti’s elemental skill can launch a group of enemies upward to deal damage. It is also great to explore high places without having to climb up and waste stamina. You will have to ascend him to rank 1 before you can use his up current. The press effect has a cooldown of only 6 seconds, while Venti’s hold effect will have a cooldown of 15 seconds.

venti burst build
Venti’s elemental burst

Venti’s elemental burst, Wind’s Grand Ode, will allow him to fire off an arrow to create a Stormeye. This Stormeye will pull in nearby objects & enemies to deal continuous Anemo DMG to them. This elemental burst can also absorb the first element it comes into contact with, dealing additional elemental DMG. Venti’s burst has a duration of 8 seconds with a cooldown of 15 seconds. It requires 60 energy to activate.

Venti’s burst will deal 20x Anemo DMG in 8 seconds to enemies within his burst. His elemental absorption will deal up to 17x elemental DMG. It is a powerful move that will leave many enemies defenseless. As the burst will gather a group of enemies together, it can be used as crowd control and push enemies together for them to be easier to hit. Venti’s burst will be the focal point for his support builds.

Venti is a great character to play in co-op because he can support his team with his elemental burst. He can also help out characters within the overworld as he can create a wind current to send players high in the sky.

Venti Passive Talents

venti artifacts
Venti’s talents

Venti’s passive talent, Windrider, decreases the consumption of stamina for all party members while gliding when Venti is in the party. This passive talent is great for exploring the overworld and works well with Venti’s ability to create a wind current for you to glide on. Venti and Amber share the same passive talent effect, so having them in the same team to explore is not recommended.

Venti’s ascension 1 talent, Embrace of Winds, adds a hold effect to his elemental skill. By holding down his elemental skill, Venti is able to create a wind current and float up into the sky. Other party members can also use this wind current to glide up in the air. This upcurrent will last for 20 seconds. This ascension talent boosts Venti’s elemental skill and adds to his usability while exploring the world.

Venti’s ascension 4 talent, Stormeye, will regenerate energy for Venti after the effects of his elemental burst end. If his burst absorbs an element, Venti will also restore the energy of all characters with the same element. This ascension 4 talent is a great support ability, allowing Venti to recharge the energy of himself and his teammates. It is limited by his burst’s 1 element limit, so you will have to be careful, which element gets absorbed. However, it is still great to recharge Venti’s elemental burst.

Venti gets a boost to his energy recharged based on his ascension rank.

Venti Constellations

Venti’s constellations

Venti is great without any constellations. If you are able to obtain multiple copies of Venti, then his constellation levels offer a mix of Anemo DMG boosts and support for your team.

C1:Splitting Gales allows Venti to shoot 2 additional arrows with his aimed shot. These arrows will deal 33% of the first arrow’s DMG. This constellation doesn’t help Venti support his team, but allows him to deal more damage with his aimed shot. However, in long-range combat, it will be hard for all the arrows to hit the same target. Each arrow has its own critical chance.

C2: Breeze of Reminiscence decreases enemies’ Anemo and Physical RES if they are hit by Venti’s elemental skill. This debuff will last for 10 seconds. In addition, enemies launched with his elemental skill will have their Anemo and Physical defenses lowered even more while they are airborne. This will be a 24% decrease to their defenses if the enemy is in the air! This constellation works great with Venti’s support potential. It will allow Anemo characters and your other character’s normal attack talent to deal more damage to the enemy while the debuff is in effect.

C5: Concerto dal Cielo will buff Venti’s Anemo DMG by 25% for 10 seconds when he picks up an elemental orb or particle. This constellation level will overall boost Venti’s DMG, but Venti needs to be the one to pick up the orb or particle to activate the buff.

C6: Storm of Defiance will decrease enemy Anemo RES if they take damage from his elemental burst. Venti’s burst is hard to escape once he manages to pull the enemies in, so the debuff is guaranteed once they are sucked into the Stormeye. Venti’s constellation 6 will also decrease the enemies’ defenses against the element that was absorbed with his elemental absorption. Venti’s C6 provides a powerful debuff toward the enemy, allowing his burst to deal more damage.

Constellation LevelsEffects
C1: Splitting GalesFires 2 additional split arrows per Aimed Shot, each dealing 33% of the original arrow’s DMG.
C2: Breeze of ReminiscenceSkyward Sonnet decreases opponents’ Anemo RES and Physical RES by 12% for 10s. Opponents launched by Skyward Sonnet suffer an additional 12% Anemo RES and Physical RES decrease while airborne.
C3: Ode to Thousand WindsIncreases the level of Wind’s Grand Ode by 3. The maximum upgrade level is 15.
C4: Hurricane of FreedomWhen Venti picks up an Elemental Orb or Particle, he receives a 25% Anemo DMG Bonus for 10s.
C5: Concerto dal CieloIncreases the level of Skyward Sonnet by 3. The maximum upgrade level is 15.
C6: Storm of DefianceTargets who take DMG from Wind’s Grand Ode have their Anemo RES decreased by 20%. If an Elemental Absorption occurred, their RES towards the corresponding Element is also decreased by 20%.

Support Build

how to build venti
Support Build for Venti

This build for Venti relies on his elemental burst and Swirl reaction. As an Anemo character, Venti is best used as a support character as his burst can pull enemies together and damage them with both elemental DMG and Anemo DMG. Venti’s team composition can include a variety of characters. You will want to fully max out Venti’s burst, then his elemental skill. Venti’s normal attack is optional as you won’t be using him to attack. This build will depend on your weapon for Venti, as you will have to change around your artifact stats.

For Venti’s team composition, both Diluc and Bennett will provide the Pyro team resonance and give the team an extra 25% to their ATK. Diluc is also a powerful Pyro character and will serve as your Main DPS. He can be replaced with any Main DPS of your choice. Bennett will provide support for the team and can also heal with his elemental burst. Lastly, Fischl will be used for her elemental reactions. She can be replaced with an Anemo character if you want to recharge Venti’s burst faster. It is important to note that Venti will gain energy recharge when he ascends. Once you reach 200% in energy recharge, it is best to work on other stats.

For his recommended weapon, the Elegy of the End is a 5-star weapon and has a passive boost in energy recharge. This passive bonus will allow Venti to focus on other stats with his artifacts. It will also increase Venti’s elemental mastery. In addition, when Venti hits an enemy with his elemental skill or burst, he will gain a Sigil of Remembrance. When Venti collects 4 Sigil of Remembrance, nearby teammates will have their elemental mastery and ATK increased. At refinement 1, nearby allies will gain 100 EM and 20% ATK. The Elegy of the End is a great support weapon, allowing Venti to buff the team and charge up his burst faster. There is a 20-second cooldown after he consumes the sigils, where Venti will not gain any Sigil of Remembrance. The buff will not work on Venti’s burst if the sigils are used after he casts his burst. He will have to use his elemental skill to trigger the effects, then cast his burst.

If you want to focus more on critical hits, the Skyward Harp is another great option for Venti. This 5-star weapon will increase his Crit Rate and Crit DMG. It also has a chance to deal AoE Physical DMG. This weapon is more suited for a Main DPS Venti.

Venti’s other recommended weapon is The Stringless. The elemental mastery bonus will help boost Venti’s Swirl reaction. It will also increase the DMG from his elemental skill and burst. The Stringless can outperform many of the other 5-star weapons if you are able to refine it to level 2.

The Sacrificial Bow is a decent weapon for a support Venti. This 4-star weapon will boost his energy recharge. The Sacrificial Bow has a chance to end the cooldown of Venti’s elemental skill after he uses it. It isn’t as great as the other bows because it requires Venti to be on the field to gather the energy.

For the early game, any of the bows will work for Venti. The Sharpshooter’s Oath will increase his Crit DMG while the Slingshot will increase his Crit Rate. Both of these weapons will require Venti to use his normal attack to activate their passive skills.

Venti’s recommended artifact set is the Viridescent Venerer. This artifact set for Venti will provide an Anemo DMG boost and increase the power of his Swirl reaction. It will also decrease the Elemental RES of the element that was used to trigger swirl. This set is great with Venti’s skill set, as this burst already includes elemental absorption. You can also use a 2-piece Viridescent Venerer and Noblesse Oblige to boost Venti’s Anemo DMG and elemental burst DMG.

For the early game. The Exile will boost Venti’s energy recharge and generate more energy for the party after he uses his burst.

The main stats on your artifacts should be:

  • Energy Recharge% Sands (You can use an ATK% Sands if your energy recharge is already at 200% or if you are using another Anemo character.)
  • Anemo DMG% Goblet
  • Crit Rate/Crit DMG Circlet

The sub-stats you should focus on are: Crit Rate, Crit DMG, ATK%, Energy Recharge, and Elemental Mastery. You should play around with your sub-stats, depending on your weapon choices and main artifact stats.

Main DPS Build

main dps venti build
Main DPS Venti

This build for Venti focuses on his charged attack, with his other skills being used based on your preference. You will want to max out Venti’s normal attack first, then focus on his other skills.

For his teammates, both Xiangling and Barbara are easy to unlock and are good support characters. Barbara is a great healer and can provide the Hydro element for reactions. Xiangling will act as your Pyro support for reactions. Her elemental skill can also boost the ATK of one character if you pick up her pepper. Both of these characters can be replaced with other support characters like Fischl or Bennett. Jean and Venti will provide the team with the Anemo resonance that will decrease stamina consumption and shorten the elemental skill cooldown of your party. Jean can also heal the party with her burst and increase the energy gained to recharge Venti’s burst faster.

For Venti’s recommended weapon, you will want to go for the Skyward Harp because it will increase both his Crit Rate and Crit DMG. Venti’s normal attack will also have a chance of dealing a small AoE to the enemy as Physical DMG. This weapon is great for a Main DPS Venti, because it allows him to hit the enemies with more critical shots. You can also go for the Amos’ Bow to increase his overall attack. The Amos’ Bow will increase the power of Venti’s normal and charged shot as well. Both of these 5-star weapons will boost Venti’s normal attack.

Venti’s other recommended weapon is the 4-star The Viridescent Hunt from the battle pass. This weapon will increase Venti’s Crit Rate. It can also generate a cyclone that will pull enemies in and deal damage over time. The Viridescent Hunt is a viable option as it makes targeting the enemies easier as they are pulled in. However, it is not a F2P weapon and can be expensive to refine.

A good F2P weapon for Venti is the 4-star Prototype Crescent that can be crafted at the blacksmith. This weapon will boost Venti’s ATK. Venti’s charged shot will also provide a Movement SPD and ATK boost if they hit an enemies’ weak point. This weapon for Venti will require you to aim and position your shots correctly. The Compound Bow is a decent weapon, but not recommended for Venti. You will lose the Physical DMG Bonus once you charge up Venti’s normal attack.

For Venti’s artifact set, the Wanderer’s Troupe will increase his charged attack damage and elemental mastery. The elemental mastery is nice to boost the power of his Swirl reaction. Venti’s main damage output will be from the 4-piece bonus. You can also go for a 2-piece Viridescent Venerer and Gladiator’s Finale to boost his Anemo DMG and ATK.

For the early game, you can either choose to go the ATK or critical hit route. For the ATK route, go for a 2-piece Martial Artist and Brave Heart. This set will boost Venti’s ATK and normal/charged attack talent. For the critical hit route, a 4-piece Berserker will increase Venti’s Crit Rate by 36% if you keep his health below 70%.

The main stats on your artifacts should be:

  • ATK% Sands
  • Anemo DMG% Goblet
  • Crit Rate/Crit DMG Circlet

The sub-stats you should focus on are: Crit Rate, Crit DMG, ATK%, Elemental Mastery, and Energy Recharge. You will want to focus on maximizing the damage from Venti’s critical hits. Elemental Mastery is great to power-up Swirl, while Energy Recharge is only needed to charge up Venti’s burst faster.
