Lisa is a 4-star Electro character from the region of Mondstadt. She is a free-to-play character obtained within the first part of the game by completing the Stormterror story quest.

Lisa in her story quest

As a scholar, Lisa used to study in Sumeru and became one of their top graduates. However, she feared that the price of her knowledge was becoming too great for her to control and left Sumeru. She now works as the Librarian for the Knights of Favonius and is close friends with Jean. Lisa is known to be calm and relaxed , but always has a plan in mind. Her interest goes beyond the realm of a normal librarian as she is more interested in the restricted topics than any regular book on the shelf. Despite her lax nature, Lisa is still a great librarian who is up for any tasks and takes her job very seriously. She enjoys a carefree lifestyle and likes to enjoy a cup of tea every afternoon. However, it is best not to anger her as her rage is known to make anyone tremble in fear.

Lisa Skill Talents

As a catalyst user, Lisa is capable of dealing Electro DMG with all of her attacks. She is great at applying Electro reactions and can even deal more damage based on the number of Conductive status stacks she has on an enemy. Her burst deals Electro damage over time to enemies within its range.

Lisa’s normal and charged attack

Lisa’s normal attack, Lightning Touch, can perform up to 4 Electro damage attacks on the enemy, with the fourth attack dealing the most damage. The second attack will deal the least amount of damage. Her charged attack requires 50 stamina and will unleash a stronger Electro blast on the enemy after a short casting time.

Lisa’ elemental skill press + hold effect

Lisa’s elemental skill, Violet Arc, has a press and hold effect. With the press effect, she gathers Electro energy and releases a homing orb that will deal damage and apply the Conductive status to any enemy it hits. Enemies can have up to 3 stacks of the Conductive status. Pressing the skill will not generate any energy for Lisa’s burst. If a reaction such as Overload or Superconduct occurs due to Lisa’s elemental skill, then 2 stacks of the Conductive status are gained on the enemy. Multiple reactions will apply the Conductive status more than once. Each stack will have a duration of 15 seconds. The press effect has a cool down of 1 second, allowing it to be easily used in battle and apply the Conductive status on the enemy.

Lisa’s hold effect requires you to hold down for roughly 2 seconds or it will count as a press. Lisa will cast down lightning and deal damage to all nearby enemies while resetting all of their Conductive statuses to deal more damage. The more stacks that are consumed on an enemy, the more damage that will be dealt to them. The hold effect has a cool down of 16 seconds and is a great damage source when enemies have all 3 Conductive status stacks applied to them. It is easy to apply the Conductive status to enemies, but Lisa will be left vulnerable as she casts her elemental skill hold effect to enemy attacks.

Tip: An easy way to tell when the hold effect is ready is when the smaller circle reaches the larger circle during her casting.

Lisa’s burst

When Lisa uses her burst, Lightning Rose, she will summon a rose that will deal Electro DMG to surrounding enemies for 15 seconds. The Lightning Rose will knock back enemies and deal Electro DMG to enemies within its range. It has a weak initial blast, but will release bursts of lightning 29 times before disappearing. Lisa’s burst has a cooldown of 20 seconds with a high energy cost of 80.

In co-op, Lisa is best used to apply Electro for reactions and deal Electro DMG to enemies. Her ascension 4 comes with a great debuff for enemies to reduce their defenses for your team to deal more damage.

Lisa Passive Talents

Lisa’s talent screen

Lisa’s passive talent allows her to refund crafting materials on potions. Her ascension talent applies the Conductive status on enemies for her elemental skill and reduces the defenses of enemies by hitting them with her burst.

Lisa’s passive talent, General Pharmaceutics, has a chance of refunding the crafting material used when creating potions. Potions have a variety of effects within the game that can help boost your character’s damage or raise their elemental defenses. Lisa’s talent can help you save on resources when crafting and allows you to reuse them to craft more potions.

Her first ascension talent, Induced Aftershock, applies the Conductive status to enemies when Lisa hits them with her charged attack. The Conductive status boosts the power of Lisa’s elemental skill hold effect. She can only have 3 stacks of her Conductive status on an enemy and this talent allows her to apply it more easily.

Lisa’s second ascension talent, Static Electricity Field, reduces the defenses of enemies when they are hit by her elemental burst. This talent can work as a support talent for her team or as a way to boost her own damage. This talent will last for 10 seconds, but Lisa’s burst has a cooldown of 20 seconds, so it will be hard to consistently apply this defense debuff on the enemy.

Lisa gains an Elemental Mastery bonus based on her ascension rank.

Lisa Constellations

Lisa’s constellation

As one of the starter units you can obtain, it will be harder to unlock Lisa’s constellation without some luck on your side. If you are able to unlock them, Lisa will get a nice boost to both her elemental skill and burst.

At C1: Infinite Circuit, Lisa will restore energy for her burst for every enemy she hits with the hold effect of her elemental skill. She can restore 2 energy for every enemy hit, and up to 10 energy can be restored this way. Her hold effect does have a cool down of 16 seconds, but will allow her to gain more energy to charge up her high energy burst. Her hold effect can also deal massive amounts of Electro DMG on the enemy, depending on the number of Conductive status stacks they have.

C2: Electromagnetic Field minimizes the risk of leaving Lisa vulnerable to enemy attack while holding down her elemental skill. This constellation will boost her overall defense and increases her resistance to any interruptions while she is casting her hold effect.

C4: Plasma Eruption increases the number of lighting bolts that is produced by Lisa’s elemental burst. Each time Lisa’s burst triggers its attack, it will trigger 1-3 additional lighting bolts. This constellation level allows Lisa’s burst to deal more Electro DMG throughout its duration.

At C6: Pulsating Witch, Lisa will automatically apply 3 stacks of her Conductive status stacks to any nearby enemies when she appears on the field. This effect can occur every 5 seconds. At full constellations, Lisa will be able to fully dish out her hold effect to its highest damage by simply entering the field. She will apply the full stacks to any nearby enemies, saving you the time from having to apply it yourself.

Electro DPS

Electro DPS Lisa Build

Lisa’s ability to apply the Conductive status to enemies makes her elemental skill deal more damage based on the number of stacks the enemy has. She can apply the Conductive status by hitting enemies with her elemental skill press effect or using her charged attack on them when her ascension talent 1 is activated. As a Main DPS, you will want to continually apply the Conductive status and use Lisa’s elemental hold effect once the enemy reaches 3 stacks. In the meanwhile, Lisa will use her normal attack to deal damage while she waits for her elemental skill to cool down. Leveling up her burst is also great for dealing Electro DMG and applying Electro to enemies, but it comes with a long cooldown and high energy cost.

For Lisa’s recommended teammates, she will need a shield creator like Zhongli or Diona because Lisa is prone to interruptions while she holds down her elemental skill. Zhongli has a powerful shield that is capable of taking a lot of damage. Venti will act as crowd control to pull enemies together with his burst to allow Lisa to hit them easier. He can be substituted with Sucrose or Kazuha. Bennett will buff Lisa’s damage and can also heal the party. He can be replaced with Xingqiu for Hydro support.

Both the 5-star Skyward Altas and Lost Prayer to the Sacred Wind will be great weapons for a DPS Lisa. The Skyward Altas has a passive in ATK and will increase Lisa’s elemental damage. It can also summon a cloud that will deal additional ATK DMG on the enemy when Lisa hits them with her normal attack. The Lost Prayer to the Sacred Wind increases Crit DMG and movement speed. It will also increase Lisa’s elemental damage every 4 seconds, up to 4 times. The effects will disappear when Lisa leaves the field.

For Lisa’s 4-star recommended weapon, The Widsith is a viable choice due to its passive in Crit DMG. It will also allow Lisa to gain a random buff in ATK, elemental damage, or elemental mastery for 10 seconds when Lisa enters the field. You can also use the 4-star Dodoco Tales that was obtained through the summer event. It boosts ATK and increases the user’s charged attack damage when Lisa lands a hit with her normal attack. Likewise, the Eye of Perception can also be used to increase Lisa’s attack and deal additional damage when it fires off its bolt attack.

If you have access to the battle pass, the Solar Pearl is another great option and works to increase her normal attack, burst, and elemental skill damage. Using Lisa’s normal attack will increase her elemental skill and burst damage while using her burst or skill will raise the damage of her normal attack. The buff lasts for 6 seconds.

The 4-star Blackcliff Amulet from the shop is another suitable weapon to increase Lisa’s Crit DMG. This weapon requires her to first defeat an enemy before its ATK buff can trigger.

For Lisa’s recommended artifact set, use a 2-piece Gladiator’s Finale/Shimenawa’s Reminiscence and Thundering Fury to give Lisa a permanent boost to her Electro DMG and ATK. You can use the 4-piece Thundersoother to boost Lisa’s damage against enemies affected by Electro. A 4-piece Thundering Fury can also work to increase her Electro DMG and reaction damage. The 4-piece set of the Thundering Fury will also reduce Lisa’s elemental skill cool down by 1 second when she triggers an Electro reaction.

For Lisa’s artifact stats:

  • Sands: ATK%
  • Goblet: Electro DMG Bonus%
  • Circlet: Crit Rate% or Crit DMG%

Look for Crit DMG, Crit Rate, and ATK in the sub-stats. Energy Recharge will also work to boost the charge of Lisa’s elemental burst. Elemental Mastery is great to increase her overall reaction damage.

Sub DPS

lisa build genshin
Sub DPS Lisa Build

As a sub-DPS, Lisa will primarily use her attacks to apply Electro on the enemies to set up reactions. Her burst can easily apply Electro to trigger reactions like Superconduct or Electro-charge, depending on your team composition. Lisa’s burst will still deal damage, even if she is off the field, allowing you to switch to your Main DPS. Her elemental skill will also be great for dealing increased Electro DMG with her Conductive status effect.

In this team composition, Lisa will apply Electro to the enemy to trigger Electro-charge to the enemy. Kazuha will help spread either Hydto or Electro around with his burst and can increase the elemental damage of his teammates. In an Electro-charge team, you will want to pair Lisa with Xingqiu or Tartaglia. Tartaglia will be the Main DPS, while Xingqiu will provide support and heal. You may also go the Superconduct route, and pair Lisa with Eula who does physical damage.

Lisa will be off the field for the majority of the time, so any of the 5-star weapons won’t work with this playstyle.

The craftable 4-star Hakushin Ring is a great support weapon for Lisa as she can trigger Electro reactions with all of her attacks. After triggering an Electro reaction, Lisa will boost the elemental damage of all nearby party members for 6 seconds. The passive also increase Lisa’s Energy Recharge for her burst.

The Favonius Codex boosts Lisa’s Energy Recharge. Its skill allows Lisa to gain energy for the entire team when she lands a critical hit. Lisa can also make use of the Sacrificial Fragments which can end the cool down of her elemental skill after damaging an enemy with it. It has a passive gain in Elemental Mastery, allowing Lisa to deal increased reaction damage. Increased reaction damage will be more ideal in an Electro-charged team than a Superconduct team.

The 4-star Wine and Song has a passive in Energy Recharge and increases Lisa’s ATK and Movement SPD based on the number of characters from Mondstadt within the party. To fully benefit from this weapon, you will need a full team of characters from Mondstadt.

The Mappa Mare is another 4-star craft-able weapon you can use with Lisa and has a passive in Elemental Mastery. Triggering a reaction will boost Lisa’s elemental damage for 10 seconds afterward.

For a full support role, consider using the 3-star Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers. This weapon increases the ATK of any character that Lisa switches to. This effect can occur every 20 seconds and the buff will last for 10 seconds.

In the early game, use the 3-star Magic Guide to increase Lisa’s damage against enemies affected by Hydro or Electro.

For this build, you will want to use the 4-piece Thundering Fury for Lisa’s artifact set. This set will increase her Electro DMG and reaction damage. Triggering Electro reactions will also decrease the cooldown of Lisa’s elemental skill, allowing her to use her hold effect more frequently. For a full support team, use a 4-piece Noblesse Oblige to power up her burst damage and give her teammates an ATK buff when Lisa uses her elemental burst. You also have the option of using the 4-piece Emblem of Severed Fate to increase Lisa’s Energy Recharge and raise the power of her based on a portion of her Energy Recharge stat.

In the early game, you can use a 4-piece Instructor to increase Lisa’s EM and give a boost to the EM of her team when she uses her elemental skill. You can also use The Exile to raise her Energy Recharge and boost energy regeneration for your team after using Lisa’s burst.

Lisa’s artifact stats should be:

  • Sands: ATK% or Energy Recharge% or EM
  • Goblet: Electro DMG Bonus%
  • Circlet: Crit Rate% or Crit DMG% or EM

Focus on Crit Rate, Crit DMG, Energy Recharge, and ATK in her sub-stats. You can also build up her Elemental Mastery to increase Lisa’s reaction damage.

Conclusion

best build for lisa
Lisa in the summer time event

Lisa is one of the starters you will unlock at the start of the game. She has access to strong Electro attacks and can easily apply Electro to enemies. Her elemental skill and charged attack can apply the Conductive status to enemies and will deal increased damage to them when she hits them with her elemental skill hold effect. Her burst does AoE damage to the enemy and triggers bursts of lightning over time. Lisa does have low defenses and health, which will make using her elemental skill hold effect difficult without a shield character on your team or having her second constellation unlocked.
