Nahida in-game

Nahida is the current Dendro Archon and is a 5-star character from Sumeru that wields a catalyst. The Traveler first meets her when she helps them escape the dream of Nilou.

Nahida’s birthday marks the death of the previous Dendro Archon, who is now tasked with protecting the wisdom of Irminsul. She was trapped by the sages in the Sanctuary of Surasthana until she was rescued by the Traveler. As the God of Wisdom, Nahida is always seeking out new knowledge and has a curious outlook on the world. She also has displayed the power to enter into the dreams of others. Nahida loves the people of Sumeru and desires to protect them however she can and be an Archon her people can rely on.

Nahida Skill Talents

Nahida’s kit easily applies Dendro to enemies while also improving the quality of life of players. Her main use will be to mark enemies with her elemental skill and use her burst to improve the damage of her skill while boosting the elemental mastery of the team.

NAhida DPS build
Nahida’s normal attack

Nahida’s normal attack, Akara, performs up to 4 attacks using Dendro DMG, with the fourth dealing the most damage. Her charged attack deals AoE Dendro DMG to enemies in front of her in exchange for stamina. While performing her normal attack, Nahida can easily be knocked down by enemies so it is important to keep a distance or have a shield character on the team. As a support, she will not need to use her normal attack often.

Nahida’s elemental skill hold effect

Her elemental skill, All Schemes to Know, deals a quick instance of Dendro damage to the enemy and marks up to 8 enemies hit with her skill with the Seed of Skandha. If you hold down her skill, you will instead be able to target and aim a limited amount of targets within a range. When the hold on her skill is released, any enemy marked with the hold effect will be marked with a Seed of Skandha. The aiming mode will last for 5 seconds, and can only mark up to 8 enemies. The Seed of Skandha will last for 25 seconds. Enemies will be linked to each other if they are within range. After being damaged by a reaction or if enemies take damage from Dendro cores, Tri-Karma Purification will be unleashed on the enemy and deal additional Dendro DMG that scales on both Nahida’s elemental mastery and ATK stat. 1 instance of Tri-Karma Purification can occur at once every 2.5 seconds. The press effect has a cooldown of 5 seconds, with the hold effect having a cooldown of 6 seconds. Nahida’s elemental skill is excellent in applying Dendro to enemies as her Tri-Karma Purification triggers when enemies are damaged by elemental reactions.

Aside from combat, Nahida’s elemental skill hold effect can also read the minds of Sumeru NPCs if they are marked during its duration. It also allows her to collect any harvestable items from afar, allowing Nahia to quickly gather plants without the need to go up and collect them.

nahida burst
Nahida’s burst

Her burst, Illusory Heart, summons the Shrine of Maya, which has different effects depending on the other elements of the party member in your party. If there is at least 1 character with the Hydro element on the team, her burst duration is increased. If there is a Pyro character present, the damage dealt by Nahida’s elemental skill Tri-Karma Purification is increased. Lastly, if there is an Electro character on the team, the time interval that Tri-Karma Purification deals damage is decreased. The effects are further increased if there are 2 members in the party with that element. Nahida’s burst effect will still be applied even if she is not present on the field and has a base duration of 15 seconds. Party members must remain in the Shrine of Maya. Nahida’s burst greatly expands the power of her elemental skill and has a large AoE. It has a cooldown of 13.5 seconds and an energy cost of 50.

In co-op, Nahida can work in a variety of teams due to her ability to easily apply Dendro to enemies and increase the elemental reaction damage of the team with Ascension 1 talent.

Nahida Passive Talents

nahida weapon build
Nahida’s talent

Nahida’s passive talent allows her to interact with plants from afar and harvest them. Her ascension talent provides a boost of EM to her team and increases her elemental skill effect damage based on her Elemental Mastery stat.

Nahida’s passive talent, On All Things Meditated, allows her to use her elemental skill hold effect to interact with harvestable plants and pick them up from afar. She can also be used on NPCs in Sumerus to read their minds. This passive talent allows you to easily farm materials without having to go pick up every single one. The mind-reading ability is a fun way to see what certain NPCs have on their mind.

Her first ascension talent, Compassion Illuminated, provides increased elemental mastery to the active character when her burst is used and they are within its range. This buff takes the EM of the member with the highest EM, so it can work for Nahida herself or another character that is built on EM like Sucrose. This is a supportive buff that allows your team to deal increased reaction damage.

The second ascension talent, Awakening Elucidated, grants increased damage and crit rate to her Tri-Karma Purification from her elemental skill for every point of EM she processes after 200. This will boost her elemental skill damage.

Nahida obtains an Elemental MAstery bonus based on her ascension rank.

Nahida Constellations

nahida c0 build
Nahida’s constellation

Nahida has many powerful constellations that empower the power of her Dendro reactions. At C2, she gives the ability to perform critical hits with certain Dendro reactions when enemies are marked by her elemental skill.

C1: The Seed of Stored Knowledge adds 1 additional Hydro, Pyro, and Electro count to Nahida’s burst requirement when it is used. This constellation allows her burst to increase its power without having to worry about the current team composition. Having a character with either Hydro, Pyro, or Electro on the team already will increase her burst’s effect to stage 2.

At C2: The Root of All Fullness, enemies marked by her elemental skill seed effect allow damage to them by Dendro reactions deal critical damage. This will follow a separate critical stat of 20% Crit Rate and Crit DMG of 100%. The enemies’ defenses are also dropped within 8 seconds of being affected by Quicken, Aggravate, or Spread. This constellation greatly increases the power of Dendro reactions and also decreases the defenses of enemies for further damage. Without this constellation, normal Dendro reactions like Bloom can not deal critical damage.

C4: The Stem of Manifest Inference increases Nahida’s elemental mastery stat depending on the number of enemies that are affected by her elemental skill effect. Max stack of 4. This constellation boosts Nahida’s EM allowing her to power up her reaction damage.

C6: The Fruit of Reason’s Culmination allows Nahida to deal increased Dendro damage to enemies marked by Seeds of Skandha after she uses her elemental burst. The additional damage will scale off Nahida’s ATK and EM stat. Nahia must be on the field and use her normal or charged attack to trigger this constellation. It is considered elemental skill damage and can occur every .2 seconds. It will last up to 10 seconds and trigger 6 times. This constellation benefits a Main DPS Nahida and boosts her damage. As a support, she will not require her to use her normal attack.

Constellation LevelsEffects
C1: The Seed of Stored KnowledgeWhen the Shrine of Maya is unleashed and the Elemental Types of the party members are being tabulated, the count will add 1 to the number of Pyro, Electro, and Hydro characters respectively.
C2: The Root of All FullnessOpponents that are marked by Seeds of Skandha applied by Nahida herself will be affected by the following effects:
Burning, Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon Reaction DMG can score CRIT Hits. CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG are fixed at 20% and 100% respectively.
Within 8s of being affected by Quicken, Aggravate, Spread, DEF is decreased by 30%.
C3: The Shoot of Conscious AttainmentIncreases the Level of All Schemes to Know by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
C4: The Stem of Manifest InferenceWhen 1/2/3/(4 or more) nearby opponents are affected by All Schemes to Know’s Seeds of Skandha, Nahida’s Elemental Mastery will be increased by 100/120/140/160.
C5: The Leaves of Enlightening SpeechIncrease the Level of Illusory Heart by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
C6: The Fruit of Reason’s CulminationWhen Nahida hits an opponent affected by All Schemes to Know’s Seeds of Skandha with Normal or Charged Attacks after unleashing Illusory Heart, she will use Tri-Karma Purification: Karmic Oblivion on this opponent and all connected opponents, dealing Dendro DMG based on 200% of Nahida’s ATK and 400% of her Elemental Mastery.
DMG dealt by Tri-Karma Purification: Karmic Oblivion is considered Elemental Skill DMG and can be triggered once every 0.2s.
This effect can last up to 10s and will be removed after Nahida has unleashed 6 instances of Tri-Karma Purification: Karmic Oblivion.

Support Build

nahid build
Nahida Support Build

Nahida’s elemental skill allows her to easily apply Dendro to enemies, and her burst effect further empowers her elemental skill damage based on the element on the team. She can work as a support for a variety of teams utilizing the Dendro reactions. This support build for Nahida will focus on the Bloom reaction. You will want to level up both her elemental skill and burst. She will rarely need to use her normal attack as an off-field support. Nahida will want to mark the enemies with her elemental skill and then use her burst to further enhance its effects. As a support, she will also need to build up her Elemental Mastery stat.

As mentioned before, Nahida can work in a wide range of teams that use Dendro reactions. This build uses Nilou to increase the damage of the bloom reaction, which Kokomi used as the healer to reduce the risk of accidental damage from the Dendro cores explosion. Kokomi can be replaced by Barbara. Dendro Traveler will also help apply Dendro to enemies with his wide field burst. This build can be swapped out with different characters, but Nilou’s ascension talent only works when she is in a team of Dendor and Hydro characters.

Nahida’s signature weapon, the 5-star catalyst, A Thousand Floating Dreams, is her recommended weapon choice. This weapon currently has the highest passive Elemental Mastery in a weapon. Its effects increase Nahida’s EM for every character with the same element as her, and her elemental damage for every character that has another element. This can also stack up to 3 times. In addition, all nearby party members gain increased EM, further boosting their reaction damage. Other 5-star weapons on a DPS build for Nahida and does not fit her role as a support character.

For 4-star weapons, the recommended choice is either the Wandering Evenstar or Sacrificial Fragments as both have an EM sub-stat. The Wandering Evenstar provides Nahida bonus ATK based on her EM stat, and nearby characters will also gain a portion of that buff. The Sacrificial Fragments has a chance to reset Nahida’s elemental skill cooldown after it is used. Another good option is the Mappa Mare, which increases her elemental damage after triggering a reaction. The best option is the 3-star weapon Magic Guide which increased damage against enemies affected by the Hydro or Electro element.

If there is no other character carrying the Deepwood Memories set, then that is the best option for Nahida. This set increases Dendro DMG and also decreases Dendro resistance of enemies after an elemental skill or burst hits them for 8 seconds. If there is another character wielding that set, Nahida’s recommended choice is Gilded Dreams. This set boosts EM and provides Nahida with an ATK or EM boost depending on how many characters on the team consisting of the different or the same element as the wearer.

Artifact sets for Nahida:

  • Sands: EM
  • Goblet: EM
  • Circlet: EM

You will want to have at least +1000 Elemental Mastery before you move on to other stats. For the sub-stats, look for EM, Crit DMG, Crit Rate, Energy Recharge, and ATK. Nahida does need a lot of ER as her burst charges up fairly quickly.

Main DPS

nahida bet build
Nahida Main DPS

As the Main DPS, Nahia will rely on her normal attack and elemental skill to deal damage to the enemy. She will focus more on critical damage than reaction damage as the Main DPS character on your team.

For this team, both Raiden Shogun and Fischl can deal passive Electro DMG on the enemy. Kazuha will boost their elemental damage to buff the Quicken reaction. Fischl can be replaced with Zhongli as Nahida can be prone to interruptions while using her normal attack.

Nahida can make use of any 5-star weapon, but A Thousand Floating Dreams is the optimal choice due to its effect, increasing elemental damage as well as elemental mastery. Kagura’s Verity is another great option as it increases her Crit DMG. Its passive skill raises the character’s elemental skill damage after she uses her elemental skill.

For 4-star weapons, the Solar Pearl from the battle increases Nahida’s crit rate while also boosting the power of her talents depending on the attack that was used. Normal attack increases burst and elemental skill damage with the opposite in effect as well. Other suitable options are the Mappa Mare, Blackcliff Amulet, and The Widsith. The Widsith is a great choice for any DPS catalyst character.

Nahida’s recommended artifact set is the 4-piece Gilded Dreams for increased EM and boosting either Nahida’s ATK or EM when she triggers a reaction. The buff depends on if the element matches the same as Nahida’s or not.

Artifact sets for Nahida:

  • Sands: EM or ATK%
  • Goblet: Dendro DMG Bonus
  • Circlet: Crit Rate or Crit DMG

In the sub-stats, look for Crit Rate, Crit DMG, ATK, and EM.
